Eyes as a Sense Organs
We have five different sense organs that perform many different tasks in our body.
The eye is our organ of sight and functions like a camera in our body. The outermost transparent convex structure is called the cornea. Light coming into the eye passes through the cornea, pupil, and lens and is collected in the retina at the back of the eye. The image formed in the retina is transmitted to the brain by the optic nerve, and visual perception is formed.
