South America

Although located in the Southern Hemisphere, a small part of its territory is located in the Northern Hemisphere. It is found east of the Pacific Ocean, west of the Atlantic Ocean, south of North America, and north of Antarctica.

Europe

It is a peninsula-shaped continent located north of Africa, west of Asia, and east of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the second smallest continent in the world. In European, Semitic languages, Erep (or Irib) means the side where the sun sets.

Africa

While Africa is bordered by the Mediterranean in the north, it is separated from Asia by the Suez Canal in the northeast. The continent is bordered to the east by the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. Africa is the world’s second-largest continent in terms of area and population density.

Asia

It is found in eastern Europe, the western Pacific, northern Oceania, and the southern Arctic Ocean. It is the largest continent in the world in terms of surface area and the most populated continent in terms of population. Although its borders vary, it has land borders with the continents of Europe and Africa.

Australia

Continental country located in the Southern Hemisphere. It lies between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Among the indigenous peoples of the Australian continent, Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders have lived in the country for over 40,000 years.

Antarctica

Antarctica is the southernmost continent of the Southern Hemisphere and includes the South Pole. It is the only continent south of Africa and Oceania that does not contain a country. It is the driest place in the world, some parts of the continent have not rained for 2 million years.
